June 2015 Hello old friends. I got married while attending Madison Central on Jan 29,1969, I only knew David 3 weeks and he was in the US Navy so I dropped out of school to be with him before he was deployed. Then I went back to Central in 70 and graduated. I was 2 months pregnant when I walked across the stage to receive my diploma. No one knew. We have been married for 46 years, have 3 children: 2 boys and a girl. 4 grand kids and one on the way. As most of you know, being from Lexington, I have always loved horses and I was riding a retired thoroughbred race horse for the first time on a big horse farm at the end of my junior year and he ran off with me on a long paved road. I was riding him bareback and I fell off and dislocated my hip. I couldn't ride for 18 months and in the meantime, my father who was a building contractor moved us to Richmond, Ky. So we sold my beautiful mare, Rita. It was very hard for me to adjust to a new school my senior year and so I wanted to get married and have a family of my own.
